Job Title: Medical Technician – Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Testing
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) tests in various clinic settings under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role requires excellent medical knowledge, documentation skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct TBI tests in accordance with established protocols and guidelines under the supervision of a physician.
– Travel to various clinics and healthcare facilities within the Milwaukee area to perform testing procedures.
– Accurately document test results and patient information in electronic medical records systems.
– Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
– Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients regarding test procedures and outcomes.
– Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
– Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation.
– Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to TBI testing and medical technologies.
– Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for TBI testing.
Qualifications:
– Associate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field preferred.
– Certification or licensure as a Medical Technician or equivalent (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
– Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in neurological testing or TBI assessments.
– Strong documentation skills with proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
– Ability to work independently and travel to multiple clinic locations.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
– Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
