Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team near Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities in patients.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists
– Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in learning and improving functional activities
– Document patient progress and report findings to Physical Therapists
– Use therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve patient outcomes
– Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during therapy sessions
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and facilities
– Educate patients and families on continued therapy and exercises post-treatment

Skills and Qualifications:

– Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
– Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Ohio
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Empathy and dedication to patient care
– Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping
