Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a federal contract position at Federal Facility near Pueblo, CO. This position requires a professional with expertise in both Medical Office Assistant (MOA) and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) duties. The ideal candidate will uphold HIPAA compliance standards, contribute to health and wellness initiatives, and demonstrate proficiency in both clinical and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
– Perform patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical history.
– Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
– Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
– Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with federal guidelines.
– Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars efficiently.
– Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with external healthcare providers.
– Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
– Educate patients on health and wellness topics, promoting preventive care.
– Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
– Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:
– Diploma from an accredited school for Certified Medical Office Assistant (CMOA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
– Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
– Proven experience in both clinical and administrative roles within a healthcare setting.
– Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and federal healthcare regulations.
– Excellent communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
– Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Work Schedule:
– Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
