Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiology Technician to join our team on a contract basis at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will perform radiology procedures in compliance with the standards and regulations of the Federal Bureau of Prisons Healthcare Services, the American Correctional Association Standards, and Federal and State policies.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform routine and specialized radiologic procedures for the inmate population
-Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; schedule calibrations and repairs as needed
-Accurately schedule exams and maintain detailed patient and imaging records
-Evaluate images for quality and identify potential pathological abnormalities
-Ensure patient understanding and comfort by explaining procedures clearly
-Perform a variety of exams including chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable X-rays
-Collaborate with the Clinical Director and medical staff to support quality patient care
-Coordinate the transfer of radiologic records to ensure continuity of care
-Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of a Radiology Technician

Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a Radiology Technician.
– Knowledge and experience with digital radiology equipment.
– Ability to perform all radiology procedures without technical support.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
– Familiarity with Federal and State regulations and standards for radiology.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
