Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Employment Type: Full-time, Evening shifts

Our Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct microbiological tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
– Analyze and interpret laboratory results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
– Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
– Record and maintain accurate patient and test data using EMR systems.
– Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
– Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.

Qualifications:

– ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
– Preferred experience in microbiology laboratory work.
– Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
– Proficiency in EMR charting and data management.
– Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulations.
– US Citizen
