Job Title: CSC-AD/CAC-AD Counselor

Location: Baltimore, MD

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD) / Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD) to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders through evidence-based counseling and support.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments to determine client needs.
– Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique situation.
– Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices to promote recovery.
– Perform crisis intervention as needed to support client safety and well-being.
– Manage cases effectively, ensuring clients receive appropriate resources and support.
– Maintain confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
– Assist with aftercare and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
– Provide supportive and psycho-educational counseling to individuals and groups.
– Coordinate with community resources to facilitate client access to additional support services.
– Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications:
– Valid CSC-AD or CAC-AD certification in Maryland.
– Minimum of 1 year of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related field.
– Strong understanding of evidence-based counseling practices for substance use disorders.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
– Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and case management.
– Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
– Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed client records.
