Job Title: Executive Director
Location: Lansing, MI
Employment Type: Permanent, Monday – Friday
Job Summary:
The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the facility’s operations, ensuring the highest quality of resident care and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The role involves strategic leadership, financial management, and fostering strong relationships within the community and among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administration:
– Provide visionary leadership and direction for the facility.
– Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
– Ensure effective communication and collaboration among departments.
– Attend all required trainings, in-services, and leadership meetings.
– Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director or Owner.
Financial Management:
– Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal management.
– Implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining quality care.
– Monitor financial performance and optimize resource allocation.
Human Resources & Staff Development:
– Lead staff recruitment, training, and development initiatives.
– Foster a positive work environment and promote staff engagement.
– Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Resident Care & Family Relations:
– Ensure high standards of resident care and wellbeing.
– Facilitate effective communication with residents and families.
– Address resident concerns and implement improvement plans.
Community & Facility Operations:
– Oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure efficiency.
– Collaborate with department heads to optimize facility management.
– Ensure maintenance of the physical environment and safety standards.
Compliance & Risk Management:
– Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
– Develop and implement risk management strategies.
– Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to policies.
Community Relations:
– Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
– Represent the facility at community events and forums.
– Promote the facility’s services and programs to the broader community.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, gerontology, or a related field.
– Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Director/Administrator in senior living or hotel executive management.
– Strong leadership and organizational management abilities.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
