Histotechnologist (HTL)

Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled, meticulous, and dedicated Histotechnologist to join our team at a well-established Medical Center in the New York City metro area. In this essential role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality tissue preparations, performing advanced histology techniques, and supporting pathologists with accurate and timely diagnostic results. Your expertise will directly contribute to exceptional patient care and reliable laboratory operations.

Job Responsibilities:
– Perform advanced histological procedures including embedding, microtomy, special stains, and immunohistochemistry.
– Prepare, process, and preserve tissue specimens to ensure optimal slide quality.
– Operate and maintain histology laboratory instruments in accordance with established protocols.
– Maintain accurate records, logs, and quality-control documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
– Follow all safety, biohazard, and infection-control procedures.
– Collaborate closely with pathologists, technologists, and clinical teams to support efficient diagnostic workflows.

Qualifications:
– U.S. Citizenship.
– Experience as a Histotechnologist
– ASCP or AMT certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL).
