Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care services in SeaTac, Washington. The LPN will operate within legal, ethical, and institutional standards to evaluate patients and administer therapeutic treatments as ordered by Health Services clinical staff. This role requires administering medications, performing skin testing, venipuncture, and assisting with chronic care management.

Key Responsibilities:
– Administer medications by various methods including oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, or intramuscular.
– Assist with medication distribution at the pill line.
– Monitor and evaluate patient response to therapy.
– Perform skin testing and venipuncture for laboratory specimens.
– Record and document patient care activities and diagnostic testing.
– Process lab work and maintain accurate logs
– Screen laboratory tests/results and notify physicians of abnormal values.
– Assist in the management of chronic care clinics.
– Demonstrate knowledge in treating chronic health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
– Initiate emergency care as per community standards.
– Operate EKG and laboratory equipment proficiently.
– Provide basic first aid and guidance for common illnesses/injuries.
– Perform administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:
– Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Washington.
– Strong knowledge of chronic health problems and mental health disorders.
– Proficiency in operating EKG and laboratory equipment.
– Excellent documentation and communication skills.
– Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies.
– Experience in emergency care initiation and basic first aid.
– Ability to perform administrative duties as required.
