Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and Certified Medication Technician to join our Assisted Living team in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate administration of medications and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. This role is critical in providing high-quality care to our residents and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications to residents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident responses.
• Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report findings to healthcare providers.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures in the handling and administration of medications.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on resident care.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized medication cart and storage area.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in medication administration.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Must be certified as a Medication Technician through the Department of Human Services (DHS).
• Previous experience in medication administration is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule.
