Job Title: Pharmacist

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team on a long-term government contract at a federal medica center facility just outside of St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time position with no on-call schedule, offering a supportive work environment and a commitment to work-life balance.

Compensation:
-$60 – $68 per hour
– Paid Time Off (PTO)

Key Responsibilities:
– Dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions.
– Review prescriptions for accuracy, checking for potential drug interactions and contraindications.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
– Provide patient counseling on medication management and proper use.
– Maintain accurate records of patient profiles and pharmacy inventory.
– Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
– Participate in health and wellness programs and initiatives within the facility.
– Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks in the pharmacy department.
– Educate and train pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals on medication protocols and updates.
– Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage patient information efficiently.

Qualifications:
– Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy.
– Valid pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
– Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing pharmacist.
– Current CPR certification.
– Strong understanding of pharmacy law and ethics.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Experience in a corrections environment is preferred but not required.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
