Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Permanent X-Ray Technician to join our team at a Federal Facility in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures using x-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintaining patient confidentiality. This position requires a professional who can accurately document patient information and procedures in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
– Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using x-ray equipment.
– Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
– Accurately document patient information and procedures in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
– Prepare patients for radiological procedures, explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
– Maintain and operate radiology equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
– Ensure radiology rooms are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
– Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or need for repairs.
– Adhere to federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding radiology practice.

Qualifications:
– Minimum of 1 year experience as an X-ray Technician.
– Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
– Valid state license as a Radiologic Technician.
– Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and EMR charting.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
– Must be able to pass a background check.
